The Ilenroy is situated on North Street, almost right in the centre of the town. Skibbereen has heaps to offer the visitor. Local amenities include angling, horse riding, golf, a leisure centre, heritage centre, sandy beach nearby, bicycle hire, tennis courts and a forest park.
Every Wednesday and Friday Skibbereen plays host to two markets that are visited by farmers and locals from around the county. This is rural Ireland at its best. The cattle market runs on Wednesdays, whilst general goods run on Fridays.
